About this role
This six-month trainee programme at Clemios provides practical foundations in embedded hardware and software development for connected technical systems such as EV chargers, gateways and industrial controllers. Participants work under the guidance of experienced engineers on real development tasks from circuit concept through firmware. Further collaboration may be considered for suitable participants after documented review.
Responsibilities
- Learn the fundamentals of specifying and implementing hardware and software building blocks for embedded systems in an interdisciplinary team
- Get familiar with analogue and digital circuit design and practise schematic and layout creation in the PCB design tool Altium Designer under guidance
- Learn hardware commissioning in the lab and development-accompanying tests at the ESD test bench with oscilloscopes
- Apply simulation-based circuit development with LTspice to validate hardware concepts before layout
- Learn firmware development in C/C++ for microcontroller platforms and be introduced to the fundamentals of real-time operating systems (RTOS)
- Get familiar with communication interfaces such as CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, MQTT, Bluetooth/BLE and Profinet and apply them in guided tasks
- Learn the fundamentals of motor control and control engineering for DC and BLDC drives (including FOC algorithms)
- Learn version control with Git, CI/CD, automated testing and AI-assisted development tools
- Learn requirements management and technical documentation in Polarion along the Clemios development process
- Learn the fundamentals of functional safety in embedded systems development
- Carry out module, integration and system tests including validation and documentation under guidance
Technical requirements
- Basic C/C++ knowledge for microcontrollers
- Understanding of electronic systems and communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART)
- Basic knowledge of PCB design and hardware-software integration
- Initial exposure to analogue or digital circuit design is an advantage
- Strong interest in embedded systems, eMobility and connected devices
Requirements
- Completed bachelor's degree or completed technical vocational training in electronics, electrical engineering or a related technical field
- Evidence of very good performance through study or training certificates and relevant transcripts to be submitted
- Evidence of very good academic performance, for example a very good GCE Advanced Level or an equivalent school qualification
- Education in English or in an English-speaking environment
- Evidence of very good mathematics skills through certificates or comparable proof of training
- Applicants residing in Cameroon

About this role
This part-time role supports Clemios SARL in Bangangté with ongoing bookkeeping as well as tax and social security obligations. The role is limited to one working day per week and is suited to a person who handles practical tasks independently, carefully and confidentially.
Role scope
- Part-time with one working day per week in Bangangté
- Not a full-time position and no daily attendance
- Support with the step-by-step tax and social-law organisation of company records
Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping and accounting maintenance
- Preparation, filing and payment of tax returns
- Preparation, filing and payment of CNPS declarations (Caisse Nationale de Prévoyance Sociale)
- Preparation for and support during DGI audits
- Digital archiving and organisation of accounting records
Technical requirements
Hands-on practical experience with the following tasks is required, not just theoretical knowledge:
- CNPS declarations and payments
- Tax returns and payments
- Proper archiving of proof of payment
- Practical experience handling late or missing tax and social security declarations is an advantage
Tools and IT skills
- Independent computer use
- Confident use of Word, Excel, scanner, PDF and email
- Work is carried out on the internal Clemios ERP; experience with Sage Saari or a comparable accounting ERP is sufficient for onboarding
Candidate profile
- At least Bac+2 in accounting, management or comparable
- High degree of independence, diligence and sense of responsibility
- Integrity and strict confidentiality
- Ability to work effectively in a structuring SME environment
