Clemios SARL is a non-EU controller. The appointment of an EU representative under Art. 27 GDPR is being evaluated.

2. Overview of Data Processing

Clemios SARL processes personal data only to the extent necessary for providing a functional website and delivering requested services. Personal data is collected and used only with consent or where permitted by law.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., headquartered in Lithuania (EU). Server infrastructure is located within the European Union. When you visit this website, the hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser transmits. This includes:

  • IP address (anonymised)
  • Date and time of the request
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Referring URL
  • Requested page

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of this website. Server log files are stored for a limited period and then deleted.

4. Contact Form

When you submit a message through the contact form on this website, the following data is collected:

  • Full name
  • Work email address
  • Company name
  • Role (optional selection)
  • Topic of interest (optional selection)
  • OCPP version (optional selection)
  • Message text

The contact form is implemented using Fluent Forms. Form data is stored in the WordPress database and forwarded to contact@clemios.com by email. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent via the privacy checkbox) and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual enquiry).

Data submitted through the contact form is retained for the purpose of processing enquiries and is deleted when storage is no longer necessary, unless statutory retention periods apply.

5. Newsletter Opt-In

The contact form includes an optional newsletter opt-in checkbox. If selected, the email address provided is used for occasional engineering and company updates. Emails are sent manually by Clemios; no third-party email marketing service is used. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by contacting contact@clemios.com or by replying to any update email. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

6. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. GA4 is loaded via Google Tag Manager (GTM).

Google Analytics uses cookies to analyse website usage. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. GA4 does not store full IP addresses; IP data is anonymised automatically before storage.

Analytics data is retained for 14 months and then automatically deleted. Google Signals is not enabled; no advertising-related data is collected.

Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). Google Analytics does not load or collect any data before you grant consent via the cookie banner. You can withdraw your consent at any time by adjusting your cookie preferences through the cookie settings link in the website footer.

You can also prevent data collection by Google Analytics by using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

7. LiteSpeed Cache

This website uses LiteSpeed Cache, a server-level caching plugin. LiteSpeed may store a temporary cookie to manage cache behaviour. This cookie does not contain personal data and is used solely for performance optimisation. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in fast page loading).

8. Google Fonts

This website uses Google Fonts, a font delivery service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When you visit a page, your browser loads the required fonts directly from Google servers. In doing so, your IP address and browser metadata are transmitted to Google.

No cookies are set by Google Fonts. Font files are cached by your browser after the first request. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in uniform, fast font rendering). For more information, see the Google Fonts Privacy FAQ.

9. Google Maps

The contact page of this website embeds a Google Maps map (iframe embed) provided by Google Ireland Limited. Google Maps is loaded only after you grant consent via the cookie banner (marketing category). Before consent, the map area displays a placeholder and no data is transmitted to Google.

When Google Maps loads, your IP address and browser metadata are transmitted to Google. Google may set cookies in connection with the map display. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). 10. hCaptcha

This website uses hCaptcha, a bot detection service provided by Intuition Machines, Inc., to protect the contact form from automated spam submissions. When you interact with the contact form, hCaptcha may analyse your behaviour (mouse movements, keystrokes, browser metadata) to distinguish humans from bots.

hCaptcha processes data in compliance with GDPR. No advertising profiles are created. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in protecting form submissions from automated abuse). For more information, see the hCaptcha Privacy Policy.

11. Cookies

This website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They do not cause damage and do not contain viruses.

Types of cookies used:

  • Technically necessary cookies: Required for basic website functionality (e.g. session management, LiteSpeed Cache). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
  • Consent management cookies: Complianz stores consent preferences (cmplz_* cookies) to remember your cookie choices. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligation to document consent).

13. Right to Lodge a Complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Since Clemios SARL is based in Cameroon and serves EU clients, you may contact the supervisory authority in the EU member state of your habitual residence or place of work.

14. Data Transfer to Third Countries

Clemios SARL is headquartered in Cameroon. Contact form submissions and related enquiry data are processed by the Clemios team in Cameroon. Appropriate safeguards for this transfer are provided through standard contractual clauses (SCCs) in accordance with Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR.

Website hosting is provided by Hostinger International Ltd. within the European Union (Lithuania). No third-country transfer occurs for hosting data.

Google Analytics data may be transferred to Google servers in the USA. This transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Google's data processing terms.

Google Fonts and Google Maps (after consent) transmit data to Google servers, which may include servers in the USA. This transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

hCaptcha is operated by Intuition Machines, Inc. (USA). Data transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses. No personal data profiles are created.

15. Data Security

This website uses TLS (HTTPS) encryption for all data transmission. Technical and organisational measures are in place to protect stored data against unauthorised access, loss, or destruction.

16. Changes to This Policy

Clemios SARL reserves the right to update this privacy policy to reflect changes in data processing practices or legal requirements. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
